The Office of the State Fire Marshal requires, testing, inspection, and maintenance of all fire protection systems and fire extinguishers. As a condition of being licensed by the Office of the State Fire Marshal, all licensed companies must submit an Annual Certificate of Inspection within 30 days of completing an inspection. Major Deficiency’s must be reported within one business day. OSFM investigates all Major Deficiencies and complaints and conducts acceptance tests on fire protection systems.
